Geopressure Classes
Public and Inhouse
Courses include in-depth practice of concepts, measurements, prediction, analysis, risk assessment and appraisal.
Pore Pressure Prediction and Schools of Thought :Fundamentals and Pitfalls (one day)   Click / PDF
This introductory course covers the basics of subsurface pressure and explores the essentials of geopressure transgression and regression in relation to compartmentalization. It discusses the different methods and their viability.
Applied Geopressure and Risk Assessments :
From Play, Prospect to the Well head   (Three days)   Click/PDF
This is the most comprehensive course in predicting and appraising subsurface geopressure and, consequently, evaluating prospect's risk pre- and post drilling
Seals, Reservoirs, Faults and Prospects Risk Assessment for E &P (Two days) Click / PDF
The optimum trap is a reservoir capable of confining and economically delivering hydrocarbons under a competent sealed cap and /or faulted structural closure. Sealing capacity impacts reservoir flow rate, driving mechanism and natural-secondary recovery. Hands-on experience will be provided by several class projects in analog and digital formats.

GEOPRESSURE: Prediction, Analysis  and Risk Assessments for E & P (Five days)    Click / PDF
You will be calculating the predicted pore pressure based on geo-scientific foundations rather than relying on software design.  You will analyze and assess your risk as an explorationist and drilling engineer. In addition to mastering your calculations, you will be  able to weigh your exploration input data (modeling, AVO, fault seal, etc.) against the post drilling geopressure profile output.  Moreover, the course sheds light on how to appraise and assess the undrilled segments on your prospect.

Training and Consultancy
We believe pore pressure and geopressure analysis should go hand in hand with prospect generation.  Building the geological blocks for the geopressure analysis is the first step, starting from the play concept and ending at the proposed drilling location.
Our team will be able to point to possible trouble zones along the borehole trajectory from the seismic pore pressure prediction.
Post drilling appraisal is a very important segment of our consultancy services. Dry holes yield as much useful information as producing wells.
